What’s Happening

Italian Feast

Come on out and join us for the 4th Annual ADDWC Italian Feast!!  This year’s event will be held May 8th from 4 – 7pm.  Enjoy dinner, music, a silent auction, and great company.

New Opportunities

There are two new ways to have fun and help others at the same time.

Splash for Cash!!! Splashdown in East Peoria is giving ADDWC its own day!  On August 1st from 4-7pm, ADDWC will get a percentage of all admissions to the park.  So bring the family and tell a friend to come on out to Splashdown.  Here’s hoping for a hot day and a great turnout.

Yankee Candle – ADDWC employees and supporters are currently selling Yankee Candles, with profits going directly to the agency.  Whether sprucing up your home or as a gift, give us a call and check out our catalog of available Yankee Candle merchandise!

Special Olympians Win Again!!

Each year, athletes from around central Illinois cone together in Bloomington to compete in the Special Olympic Summer Events.  As always, the athletes of ADDWC did us all proud.  It was a great competition and a great time for all.  Congratulations to those athletes who are advancing on to the state competition, and to all those who participated.  Well done!!

Italian Feast a Huge Success

ADDWC’s 3rd Annual Italian Feast took place on May 2nd.  It was, in every way, our biggest year yet.  Hundreds of people came out to support our mission while enjoying great food, wonderful entertainment, and bid on some very tempting auction items.  When all was said and done, we raised over $5,000 for our crew.  Thank you to all the people who supported us through donated items, sponsorships, time, and effort.  A special thank you to Eureka Bible Church for allowing us to use there facility for our event.

A September Trip

Camp Big Sky was the point of destination for some of the ADDWC crew.  Located on over 100 acres in Fulton County, Camp Big Sky works to provide outdoor, camping style activities to children and adults with disabilities.  This is our second trip out to Camp Big Sky and we had a Great Time!!!!  Whether fishing, riding in the pontoon boat, or just enjoying nature…wonderful memories were made.  Thank to everyone at the camp for welcoming us back.  See you soon!!!

August Means Autofest

Once again the folks at Autofest came through in a big way!  Each year, collectors of die-cast cars assemble for a weekend of friendship, fun, and of course, collectible cars.  ADDWC is fortunate to be the beneficiary of a group of generous, caring and fun-loving individuals.  Auctions, donations, races and more.  The Autofest crew raised $4,000 for our guys!!  It has been four years since Rob walked into our agency and asked if he and his fellow collectors could help…and help they have.  $25,000 raised to directly benefit our crew.  Thank you to Rob, Mark, and EVERYONE in the Autofest group.  The difference you make is real and we are incredibly grateful.  See you in South Bend next year!!

New Recycling Vehicle

It didn’t take long!!  The generosity of the Autofest crew has bought ADDWC a new truck for its recycling program!!  We are very excited as we bring this new resource in to assist with our daily pick-up routes.  Thanks again to all who made it possible!!

Italian Feast a Great Success!!

The 2nd annual Italian Feast was a great success!  Our community, families, and clients all came together and enjoyed a wonderful meal, great music, and a competitive silent auction.  The evening raised over $3,200 for the agency and we had a great time doing it.  Thank you to all who volunteered, donated, worked, and organized such a rewarding night. And thank you to all who came out to see and support ADDWC and its mission.

Italian Feast

ADDWC’s Second Annual Italian Feast will be held May 3rd.  Please come by and enjoy a great meal, take part in an auction, and help raise money for the Developmentally Disabled of Woodford County.

Autofest 2007

Holy Cow they did it again!  For three and a half days in September, diecast car collectors and vendors from all over the United States and Canada come together for Autofest.  Fortunately for ADDWC, they bring a generous spirit along with them as well.  This is the 3rd year that the agency has been the direct beneficiary of this amazing group.  Keith McArdle and Greg Cassidy joined the group in South Bend this year for an amazing time.  Through donations, charity cars, races, and the charity auction…Autofest raised over $5,400 this year.  That makes over $20,000 raised for ADDWC since we began working together.

From everyone at ADDWC…thank you to all who made this another amazing year.  See you at Autofest ’08!!

Special Olympics

The ADDWC gang enjoyed a great time at the Special Olympics Bowling in Peoria.  Several medals were won as well as one of our competitors advancing to state.  Congratulations to all the athletes!!
